Looks like a backup marker to me, which seems a bit silly in an open topped jeep.

Works for me - I'd guess a plow pump bracket, but I don't know the plow hardware on a F134.

It's the adjuster you'll use when you put a power steering pump on your F-head. ;)

From what I remember, the plow pump strapped to the generator and didn't have that type of tensioner.

makes sense since this thing had a plow. Thanks!

Anyone recognize this auxiliary tank in my '68 CJ5? The fuel pickup/sensor was totally rusted out. I took it to O'Reilly's to get a replacement. They had to do research so I left it with them. I've called a couple of times with no progress. If I knew what the tank came out of, I could just order a new pickup from Rock Auto or somewhere else.

'73-75 CJ-5. Could be '76-77 but I think it's '73-75. Same sending unit is used for both, Jeep PN 994620 superceded by 5357046.

Is this a factory jack or some after market unit? It was in the tool box of my 70 when I bought it. I found it (and my hood hold down:oops:) when I cleaned the garage this afternoon. Nothing like Fockers but I did shake my rattle cans in preparation for winter.

Looks identical to the jack that came with my 1965 Ford F100. Also comes with a 2-section folding crank that fits into the receptacle on the jack.

WYOMIKE's jack pictured is the correct original one from at least 1964 through 1970 CJs. The range may run both earlier and later, but I am positive for the years stated. They came either dark green or black.
Mark, I had an old '69 Dodge A100 van years ago that had your same jack, but don't know if it was original to that vehicle. It had a folding crank handle about 4' long with a sliding sleeve to hold it straight to operate the jack.

Thanks all. I didn't want to junk it if it was OEM. I think you're right on Mike's photo. I knew I'd seen a short rusty jack but couldn't find the image. (y)

I happened across a very similar jack as posted by ojgsol that is on ebay (item #1325 5876 6591). Its listed as a military piece for the M38/M38a-1, and their illustration shows this type used on an A-1. The one on eBay appears to have a die-cast housing and an additional "foot" attached, likely for soft ground.
Anyone have info on the eBay jack?
