I thought about that too but looked into a bottom mount wiper windshield I have and they do not look like that. I was also thinking mounting brackets from some non stock horns... I have no more ideas...

I was just looking at some underbody pictures of a 1968 cougar on ebay and saw this bracket protecting what looked like a fuel line under the car.

I checked out wiper arm levers and, nada, still fishing. Who knows, they might not even be Jeep parts!
    Thanks.

Did the guy maybe used to have a tilt out windshield at one time or another?

FWIW I stripped my (original) 66 completely down every screw nut and bolt and it did not have any brackets that looked like that.

Great thought, but the OEM Jeep parts are different.

I have 2 horns and did not think to pull the out of storage to check how they mount. Nice guess. I'll check Monday, thanks.

Edit...Here is a photo from the internet...

Looking good but will confirm Monday!

I got into the painted parts box today and I'm happy to report that the mystery brackets do belong to the horns... thanks to all who took a stab at this with me.

Found this while going through parts to put back on the '57. Wood with 2 holes one for a through bolt, the other for a wood screw? I know it is not the block for the side mount spare, I have the original. Where does this go?

Not exact but looks a bit like homemade MB/CJ2A hood blocks, for the w/s.

Grab handle for the glove box door?

I've been unable to find anything on the condenser that is mounted just to the rear of the coil and below the temperature sending unit. It may not be a condenser but resembles one. It has one wire which is unhooked.

This is a late 1970 F134. If you find it in the FSM please let me know what section.

Can it be seen in the diagrams starting on Pg 175?

Possibly an after-market condensor/capacitator for radio static supression?

It is not shown in the wiring diagram. It is mounted as shown below. The violet wire with a white tracer goes in the tape and then to the temp sending unit. The black wire from the unknown device comes out the top and has an eye connector on the end that is not connected. It would reach the coil but?
I will try to get a better photo later today.

It's not a grab handle or hood block. Spacer or brace of some sort?

Is the temp gauge stock? If it's a "device", it could be a resistor for the temp sensor.

Are you sure it's not just a splice joint? Looks like a rubber boot covering a splice.

If so...The next thing is to figure out why?

Look under the splice- there's some sort of condenser looking thing bolted to the block. Could be a radio filter but it's an odd place to mount one- normally it would be on the genny connected to the armature terminal but someone might have hooked one to the regulator arm terminal instead.
