PTO Winch Drive Shaft

This U joint is kind of wobbly so I'd like to replace it. I don't see any clips so is this a press-in/press-out deal?

Yup, circlips on the inside. Tractor supply places and places like Six States Distributing should be able to supply those.

 

I got it apart no problem without losing the clips. I assume the u joint itself is a common enough thing that the local auto parts store would have it?

If they carry PTO parts, it shouldn't be hard to find.

 

That looks like the same tiny u-joint that is on the tcase side of the front driveshaft. If it is, the only place I found that ujoint locally was O'rileys auto parts and they had to order it.

 

My tractor supply house has several different sizes of shaft U-joints they use on implements.

 

If not, a local Napa or fleetpride could get them too. Clips will come with new joint unless some scoundrel robbed the box. Just wanted to use the word scoundrel for some reason...
