Im building a 1959 Cj-3b on a 1974 Cj-5 (that had a 304 in it) frame & running gear, I looked throgh 14 pages of Chevy & Fords being added to a flatty.. Dont anyone put AMCs in them,, I plan on putting a 81 360 in my 3b & would have loved to seen or hear about anyone else that did so,, I dont like chevys location of the Distrborater ,, (had that on a 63 Willys truck I built) RPIA,,,, Drove a 78 CJ-5 for years with a AMC 360 in her & fell in love ,, & Have had 2 more since,, There are lots of High perfomance parts ,, just have to look & get off some beer money but you can make them fly,,, The body of my 3b was bought with a 4inch addition to the door area ,, It works good for my 6'2'' 300 lb body to fit behund the Wheel & not poke myself in my chin evertime I shift.. Im installing a S-10 tilt coulum also.. But the AMC is what makes a real Jeep in my book ,, Plus its easyer to dry out the cap of the distriborator just like the ford,,, :flag:

Re: Show me yer V8 Jeep Flat Fenders!

The AMC engines are not a popular choice. Parts prices and aftermarket support for the Fords and Chevs is better than AMC... so there's not a lot of reason to use the AMC V8 except for brand loyalty.
