    jeep toss:JEEP:Well i finally got the 67 225 running.But it will idle fine with the choke 1/4 of the way open if i open it all the way she wont idle i have a manaual choke.The carb was rebuilt and came out like new but i have adjusted the air fuel mix should it run with the choke opened up? thank you

    It should run with the choke all the way open. I'd start by checking for vacuum leaks.

    will do around the carb ? and ill see the vac hose to the carb also i have the air fuel turned out 11/2 out on each to start thank you

    Yeah, around the base of the carb, throttle shaft, intake manifold, vacuum hoses, anywhere there could be a vacuum leak. Flammable spray carb cleaner works. Keep it away from the throat of the carburetor or it will give you a false reading. Small sprays, a bit at a time, and check for rpm changes. If the rpm changes that's where you have a leak.

    yep had the wrong intake manifold gaskets to much vac put the right one in and smooth right out
