I like the seats alot. I had to lower the stock seat brackets to get a better fit. They are suspension seats but I dont really see much difference from the aftermarket highbacks that where in there before.

Can you post some detail shots of how you took care of the brackets? I am thinking about ordering those same seats and am trying to figure out if it is worth it, all things considered.

Looks great by the way, I only hope mine ends up that nice.

My brackets were cut up and welded by the PO and i just cut off everything except the hoop that goes from the door to the floor and build a lower bracket so my seat wasn't so close to the wheel. I was worried about how they would fit but once I got the seats and put them in place the brackets where pretty easy. I should have done a fenderwell cut out but its a little late now.

Another thing I did on the seats was to use a angle finder on the seat in my dodge and set the jeep seat to match.

Ahhh, that's a good idea. Well as soon as I stumble across 1k Im going to order those bad boys! How did you handle the folding latch on the passenger side? And can you get easy access to the toolbox with that setup?

The latch was gone so I used some rubber bumpers from home depot on the bottom of the legs so it would not scratch the paint. The seat still flips foreword and comes out. The seat will recline and flip enough to get to the toolbox, but it is a pain. I went with the retractable belts from Corbeau. I would not do it again. They do not retrack well through the seat and
kind of defeat the purpose of the belts. There is a dial adjust on them to get them to lock and that is how I run them. The standard belts will save you some cash.

Very nice job! I hope to have time to do a resto on mine one of these days but my off time is very limited. Not complaining and lucky to be working. But can't wait to get my project going. :tea:

Got a Hi lift and have been trying to figure out where to put it. Finally decided to mount it on the tire rack. I had to modify the rack a little, if is a tight fit.

Okay I have been driving this thing all summer and it seems to have a dead spot in the power at around 50mph. I did upgrade the dist. to the motorcraft one and did the big cap and rotor and summit cdi. Timing is at 8 btdc. Does anyone know if my timing should change with this upgrade. I had the prestolite ign. before. Also the carb is new last year. Any help would be great!

Try setting timing to 7 or 8 btdc, also open plug gap to .045 . You have done a nice job on the Jeep. Looks great.

I was editing my post. It is at 8 degrees. Maybe something with the carb. It just feels flat when slowly giving it gas. Goes fine if you hammer it.

Mine did this as well. Part throttle, had a spot where it would fall on it's face almost put you through the windsheild. I pulled the power valve and it had a pin hole in it, replaced it and now it's gone. Also check for vacuum leaks, and maybe adjust your accelerator pump linkage to give more squirt when you give it gas.

I have been thinking about power steering and brakes. Can I add a power brake booster with the stock drums? my brakes have been all rebuilt and stop great I just want the pedal to be not as hard to push. I ll have more questions when I find a power steering pump bracket for my 360.

power brakes on drums work great usually you can lock them up at will. Disk brakes are less prone to locking up. Makes it safer for amature drives but us guys like to lock em up hehe
