Yup. Those are the Bendix style with the anchor pin at the top and the shoes "float" at the bottom. The long shoe goes at the rear. Nickmil

Nick - correct me if I am wrong (mmm could be) - I was taught that the self adjusting (those with the star wheel) would have the large shoe on the side with the star. Like those Ron is showing.

Is that a true statement as well - just my experience, but it always seemed to work that way for me.

Ron, Your first and second picture show the shoes backwards. The last pic in front of the truck is correct.
The long shoe goes on the side with the star wheel adjuster. The star wheel adjuster goes to the back of the vehicle or "behind" the wheel cylinder. The slot in the backing plate goes towards the back of the vehicle. Nickmil

That is correct. The star wheel and slot in the backing plate goes towards the back of the vehicle or "behind" the wheel cylinder. The long shoe goes with the star wheel. Nickmil

Ron - Since Nick confirmed I somewhat know what I am doing with them - Bring them all down when you want me to weld them and we'll get them all setup for ya.

Thanks Nick and Chuck!!! I appreciate the info and help! I don't know where the first two photos came from, but I believe the third one came from TommyB, I think those are his brakes but I'm not positive.

Chuck, I appreciate the offer, but I think I can put them together. Besides, after we get the holes welded up, I'll still need to clean those two backing plates up and prime/paint them before assembly. I also hate being a pest and using up other peoples time. I do that enough here on the board! I might need a little advice about the springs though, if there's a difference between the front and rear shoe springs.
