I know it seems trivial, but where exactly should the Speedo and E Brake cable be routed on an early CJ5.

I tried search, but didn’t get any valid links or good pictures..

Also just noticed that the cable I ordered has a threaded end, but the clevis I ordered is not threaded…

I don’t have another Willy’s to check, just my AMC era CJs

Does the cable mount to the forked cleat on the crossmember?

The cable mounts to the crossmember with a clamp (park brake cable). The small vertical fork on the crossmember is for the engine stay cable iirc.

Jumping on this thread to see if I can get some information also, I am in the process of the reassembly of my 1973 resto, looking for a picture of the e-brake cable setup from the front to the back two cables. Mine were rusted off when i got it so I dont have the pictures of what it looked like before disassembly. I can start a new thread if needed but thought i would start here first. any help would be greatly appreciated.

This thread is about early CJs, which ate totally different from your 73.
