Well, after watching and following Norcal and what he did on Steve's, based on the RR springs, I followed his lead. Thanks NorCal! I was only able to work on it for a few hours a week, for the most part. Lots of health issue with my parents...they are doing better now.

As you can see It is now a much better set up.

Thanks again to NorCal for the tutorial, I never would have tried this a year ago.

Now do I recycle the front bumper? Trimmed or start from scratch?

That thing looks heavy, but for the most part, steel is steel . Trim it down

Oh, it is a beast for sure. I was going to do some serious trimming. Just trimming, narrowing to just past the horns should drop off 30lbs!

While patching holes in my dash, I got to looking at the bumper....I kind of like the look. It will drop between 25-30lbs.

Me Thinks that with the larger tires, if you cut it that short , it'll kinda look like a Dictator's mustache . You can always take off more.......A lot more work to add it back on ?

Being that it is half inch, it is a biotch to cut!

Smoke wrench and a clamped piece of angle for a straight edge. Easy 30lbs.

I didn't realize it was a half inch, I would trim it down to a G-string bikini then put a light skirt over it to appease the law.

    Steering column showed up today.

Was going to mount the new radiator, well, that will need a little frame massaging to get it to work. But hey, it's fun!

My cousin came into town for a week, so didn't get much done on the 6. Did get some work done on getting a steering column mount made, ain't real pretty but it will work.

I got the sliders primed, just so I don't have to deal with rust. Still have a couple of holes to drill before I paint.
