My 1970 cj5 has it. I always thought it was there to stop wheel hoop with v6 engine. It does work, never any wheel hoop up front.

:bananatool: Well some friends came by to check out my jeep and figured out that the is a support bracket for the radio that is under the dash. It hooks to the black box under the dash and then uses the bolts from the transmission cover, pretty beefy for that but I guess it keeps it from bouncing around and stuff.

Can't see that as being a factory Jeep part. Is that precast part aluminum?

I’ve posted similar parts on this thread years ago. I mostly remember the “dog bone” piece on the left. But I don’t remember the outcome.

A couple Saturdays ago I was brush cutting blackberries at the bottom of our hill. I hit something that turned out to be an old tire. It must have been there before I moved in, over 25 years ago. What era does this tire belong to?
