I posted this in my build thread on another board, It is really meant for people that drive their flatty's in all weather.
The Jeep has been doing great but there is some minor tweaking that needs to be done,The first on the list is the windshield wipers.
I don't care for the 2 motor set-up so I went to the u-pull-it yard to get the set up off a CJ to try and make it work. Oddly enough they had 4 CJ's and the wiper linkage and motors were all gone. They had 3 postal Jeeps though and the set-up looked like it would be easier to modify than the CJ stuff anyway. I am not done yet(wiring and new blades) They work nice though and it was fairly easy and cheap ! They are 2 speed.
Here are the pictures and a video, my phones camera is getting worse all the time.

I drilled out the outer hole, I used a dremel to open up the inner hole and notched the cutout that holds the hub thing in place.

The long arm that attaches the wipers together had to be lengthened 1/2" The short arm that attaches to the motor is shaped like a L the long side need 2 1/2" and the short side 1/2"
I used 1/2 tubing for the L shaped arm extension, the short side tab that connects to the motor was flipped 180 degrees so everything would line up.

Did you make it so you can easily fold the windshield down?

Just an FYI, most DJ's use the same linkage as CJ's.

One clip that can be removed by hand and you can fold the windshield down. I have not seen a CJ with the weird drop down linkage like the DJ had from the dash mounted motor to the wiper.
A side note that everybody may know already but if you have the old style wiper blades you can buy a large 24-26" modern replacement, remove the blade itself, cut it down and install it in your old arms.

Yup, and it takes lots of patients, BTDT. Good Job on the wipers!

Depends on the DJ. If it had the motor inside then absolutely. If it had the motor outside like a '68-'75 then the linkage, motor, motor cover, etc is the same as CJ.

You really need to have such services to allow your windshield wiper to be fixed and to have its full use in all weather conditions,it is truly important to fixed it immediately. You can hire such services for it to get the job done and to have much greater results,to have a hassle-free driving particularly on rainy days.

They are working great. I added a washer tank from a grand wagoneer. Now if I can get the squirt nozzle to hit the windshield I will be golden.
