Is it true they won't match up? If so, it is on to buying the teraflex 3.15 to 1 gears. I posted the wrong transmission. Mine is a t-14

the jeep D300 will not bolt to either the t-14 or t-15.

I've got the tera-low 3.15 gears in my d20 and would highly reccomend them. Huge difference off road.

If you willing to do some swaping i have planed the ultimate cj drivetrain (in my mind)

    t176
Dana 300 Tera low 4:1 gear set.

lower that a t18/D20 combo and a better transmission for street use.

IF you can find one, an IH Dana 300 uses the same bolt pattern.

I was looking for a needle in a haystack once. I found that. LOL...I think that would be easier to find than an IH dana 300.:p

they are out there, but you'll pay as much for one as you would for the tera low gearset for your d20.

If you can find an IH Dana 300 it's a great transfer case with a 2.62-1 low range. If you find one make sure you get the 6 spline input gear as these are extremely hard to find.

The T-176 is a decent medium duty transmission but they do have issues. I've rebuilt several of them with twisted or broken output shafts. The tops suffer from wear issues as well. If used as a medium duty transmission they are ok. Parts are getting harder to come by though and expensive.
