rear oil seal

    anybody know the part number for rear axel oil seal dana 44 taperad axel 1964 cj5

    Need to know which seal you need first. There's two seals on each axle shaft.
    That is, unless you need a pinion seal...

    need seal for both axles beside bearing

    On the inside or outside of the bearing? there is a seal between the bearing and flange that goes on after the tapered axle is installed but before the flange is installed. There is also one pressed into the housing on the inside of the bearing that is installed before the axle is installed.

    sorry its the one pressed in the axel before axel goes in

    Ok, I can't prove this (cuz I don't have anything apart right now to double check) but, I think that seal is:
    Napa 13710 (Id=1.375", OD=2.286", thk=0.025") $22
    Autozone 42763 $16

    Would appreciate if anyone can verify or dispute :beer:

    Yep, everybody's got em. I was thinking he needed one yesterday, locally. Can anyone confirm or provide the part number?
