Hi guys. I have found 2 different tread styles that I like in either 15 or 16 inch wheel sizes. I really like the vintage narrow look. I have read in different places that the 15 inch wheels won't fit over the 11 inch drums that I plan to install. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your help! Craig

Well, it took me a bit to find it and correct the links that pointed too it. Sorry.

Somehow I goofed along the way and the links in the brake FAQ didn't point to it.

Let see what kind of tires you found, I could use some new ones too.

I found a place online Universal Vintage Tire that lists 650-16 and or 700-15 traction tires...very cool tread design! They are both about 30 inches overall diameter. Not exactly cheap but what is? For me the only problem is the shipping cost. The company is in PA and I live in northern CA.

I just bought my 7.50-16 NDTs from Universal Vintage Tire. Quality company if you ask me. I think I paid ~$70 for shipping to IL for 4 tires. I don't think shipping tires gets much cheaper than that. If it is, they are usually subsidizing the shipping with the price of the tire.

if your talking about these tires http://www.universaltire.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=24892&pageID=0
I think they are pretty cool looking as well.

I always thought this tire: http://www.coopertire.com/Flash/index.aspx was a decent modern replacement for the OEM style tire. Click on the "detailed tire specs" tab for sizing info. Cooper should have nationwide availability. HTH
