Any information on this going in my 46/52/53 CJ2-A /CJ-3A M38? engine is in a 86'4runner with a 5 speed,is the 5 speed to long ?I think I read I need the 4 spd ? any information would be nice.
I really dont know what direction I am going but one may be to use my 4runner running gear and a toyota front solid axle.I would really like to go with a diesel but that will have to wait for a while.
What kind of market is there for a great running L-head,trans(pops out of 2nd when decel)axles? how much could I expect to get for these items ? Just kind of a feeler right now so I can decide.

I do think length will be an issue. Not much room for a rear driveshaft. I was wodnering what the length would be for a 22re, yota 2WD tranny and a samurai Tcase.

Do you have a link to that Jeeps site ? It looks like he had to stick the grill out,not real crazy about that.

I recognize that Jeep, it was built by a guy back in Newfoundland, he was selling it a couple years ago, those look the same pictures. It was bought by a Guy in Ottawa and shipped up I think. Check out this link for his for sale post back in 2006, it'll give you the specs. It is a cool looking rig.

Thanks ! I came in here to ask for specs and there they were :) I can buy a used set of boggers local for $350 probably 70% left 35 16 15's I love the look but I am worried about the ride and noise.I have had 42 and 39 TSL's and 44 ground hawgs, they were fine then but I am a little older now R)

yeah thats right. John bought it and shipped it from Newfoundland to Ottawa. i met him on a local forum and then i drove out to Ottawa and bought the hardtop from that same jeep from John. It's a wicked rig... really well put together.

my plans changed slightly to include a samurai frame. The 22re has been swapped into sammys quite a bit so I think everything should fit.We will see how close the body matchs the frame.
