I heard it run in person. Fires right off and sounds great! I can't wait to see how it works on the trail.

  4. Almost put it on the road tonight... no fire in #6. Good plug, good wire, good cap. Petronix has correct air gap...????? On a positive note, did pull the Powr Lok in the rear, for an Eaton E Lock.

No spark on #6? I can bring a compression gauge up if needed. Sounded good the other day. Fouled plug? I'd double check that. Did you check spark with the plug out so you could see it? I have gotten bad plugs before, even good ones. Check the ceramic for cracks. Easy to break one and not know it.

Glad to see you pulled the Powerlock in the rear. That combo just seemed backward. If your front and rear axles are the same spline count I'd have the Eaton in the front.

  7. No fouled plug, second plug in #6 that did not spark. Plug tests good, Wire tests good, cap tests good, but no spark under the cap?

Did you check that wire for resistance? Both attached to the cap to the plug end and by itself?..........If you have a spare plug wire there I would change that wire. Sometimes a wire can check fine statically but under load breakdown.

  9. Wire has resistance on the cap and off, changed the wire to another, again, resistance in new wire on cap and off, same result...?

That's a tough one...............maybe change the Cap................tonight start that thing up in the "Dark" and lift the hood! Might see where that energy is going...........

He also has a Pertronix so thinking it might have something to do with that. Odd it's only one cylinder though. He moved the wire to another cylinder and didn't affect the new cylinder. I didn't have time to spend with him on it.

    Any new progress?

  13. Pulled the dist to replace with a HEI. Upon further inspection, the petronix had dropped a magnent (found it stuck somewhere in there). No magnent = no trigger.

  15. Pulled the Powr lok from the rear, and added an Eaton E Lock. Went and drove it around the back yard yesterday. Waiting on a Q-Jet, as I am tired of fighting the TA470. Been too lazy to make any forward progress on the cage. :(

  17. Yeah, the thought has crossed my mind. But I am cheap and lazy, so that rules out the kit, and swapping a GM TBI system in.
