Dan: Don't believe so. Dieseling can be caused by either too rich a mixture or too lean a mixture. Try tweeking your idle jets.

Hate to say it Dan, but it still sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere....

Dan, Dieseling can also be caused by a hot spot in the cylinder head(s) which ignites residual fuel vapors after the power is off. You might just be running hot since it is getting pretty warm down in your neck of the woods. Now might be a good time to flush and remix the radiator. I would suggest buying a product called "Water Wetter" by Redline. It increases to cooling properties of water --supposedly by 10*. It only needs a few cap fulls. I've heard alot of racers suggest this product and I just bought a bottle to try it before I hit the dunes in a few weeks. Royal Purple also make a product called "Purple Ice" which does the same thing.

I am thinknig maybe there is a hot spot on the head because of the open exhaust, it is REALLY hot there. But tonight i am going to take off the exhaust and remove that broken bolt and then take out the tranny. Big things are starting to happen :)
