windshield measurements

hey guys, just need a quick measure from whichever one of you has the time to go out and check this for me. i need to know what the length is from top to bottom of a 2a or 3a windshield (top being the top and the bottom being the part that rests over the dash).

As i have mentioned before, i have a windshield from a 3b on my 3a and it is much too low. there doesnt appear to be an abundance of willys windshields in my area and i dont want to spend 100$ to ship one up from one of you guys SO... im going to chop mine at the bottom and lengthen it. one of you 3b guys got a little teary eyed about this last time i mentioned it but it's my last option since i dont have a huge budget.

can someone take a quick measure for me so i can extend it to the correct height? (basically want to have it close in case i decide to install a top one day)

 

My M38 windshield (same as a 3A) measures 27 1/2" right up the center. This includes the rubber cowl gasket and the slight arch of the top of the windshield frame.
