While I'm trying to decide what I want in a CJ, I'm working getting this older restoration 1951 Farmall Cub going. It looked great but hasn't run in almost 6 years now and sat for about 10 before that, and 20 before that. My idea is to put it back to work instead of just getting it running every decade or so. I've already had to rewire it and right now the valves on the flathead 4 are soaking in some kroil as every cylinder had a stuck valve. My supervisor in this project: Farmer "Tater" (grandson) and a proof of concept fitting for having the drawbar go up and down with the hydraulic lift. Cubs never came with 3 point hitches like tractors today have, so my idea is to put a heavy 2" receiver hitch on to the drawbar and use that for attaching various implements like grader blades, etc. Modern ATV implements seem to be pretty close to the right size of an ol' Cub.
