    doesn't quite look the same
the frame is boxed under the tub.
    has some parking brake components.

    on the spens pictured:
    no parking brake
    frames are not boxed
    hitch is different
    tailgate

I don't think the WWII trailers had safety chains, did they? Those look like M100, But it looks like a WWII parking brake handle. Taillight mount looks to be M100.

WWII had safety chains, they are pricey... the parking brake is definitely WWII stuff, drawbars have the v ends that indicate WWII, and it has the blackout switch hole. Check the upper drivers side of the front panel for signs of data plate rivets...and the floor for signs of floor drains, should be two in opposite corners IIRC, and if you go over to the G 503 boards there is a WWII trailer board and a sticky post on ID of the 1/4 ton trailer. That one is NOT a Spen, they had tailgates that were about half height of the rest.
Definitely a worthwhile trailer, and if you want one with a tailgate to use trade it off for one...How much can you get it for?

Looks good Gerald. I should have shown you mine when you were here, I have a Willy's MB-T. The push button parking brake release indicates a Willy's. Does it have single or double floor drains? Single also indicates it's a Willy's, I believe Bantams had two drains. Those are the main differences I have found between the Willy's and Bantam models.

If you go over to the 2A page Art C has a pretty good section for all the trailers, and there is also a WWII trailer section on the G 503 boards.. Both have excellent info and will help you on your build making it stock.

Ohhhh...not Herculiner! HATED that stuff in my Bantam. Leeches black, bloodies your knuckles, fades, wears thin in the sun. Always wish I had just kept with simple paint.

Welding boy is cool...but get 'im some safety glasses and gloves...;)
