What kind of winch is this? Is part of it missing? Is it worth anything? Any info would be appreciated. I'm thinking of bidding on this.
    Thanks,
    Andy

You got me curious! The drive appears to be on the wrong side for a normal PTO winch, I wonder if that is one that is driven somehow off of the front pulley?

That's a diesel winch. The engine is missing but the exhaust stacks are there. ;)

I'm gonna say it's a hand winch, not a PTO. The bracket on the left side appears to be for a crank which would drive a chain, turning the sprocket thus turning the drum. I'll bet the "stacks" were for a hoist for lifting something. :hurrican:

Mounted down-side up, maybe? Can't remember looking at a Ramsey Rhino from the ground up, but, sorta looks familiar otherwise.

I don't know, to me the whole thing looks a little too light duty for a PTO winch. The whole Jeep is rough but has to be worth the opening bid at least!

Personally I'd pay maybe $300 max, as parts for future reference.

My vote is on hand crank as well. I'll have to dig through my pics but I have seen one on a -2A before. I believe that bracket off to the left is where the crank would go, with a chain down to the sprocket you see there. I *think*.

I think it was a very early electric as there is a mounting pad on top of the worm drive that would fit an electric motor. The motor would have sit there with a chain drive reduction going to the worm drive.
