I'm missing a back rest cushion on the passanger seat of my 2A. I was looking in the Beachwood catalog and they want $49 for this cushion. I'm thinking it should be pretty simple to make. Can I just use some high density foam or something or is there something special that the back rest cushion is made out of? Are there any kind of springs or anything in the back rest cushion? Anyone have any pic of their cushion without the vinyl cover on it?

Can anyone tell me if there are springs in the back rest cushion? Or are there only springs in the butt cushion and the back rest cushion is just some type of foam / horse hair?

There are two back rests for the CJ2A as they had an early and late back seat.

I'm referring to the passanger's side front seat. Specifically the cushion that you rest your back on (not the butt cushion).

My 47 has what I believe are the original seats. The seat and the seat back both have springs and a horse hair mat over the springs with the cover over everything.

I will try to get some pics tonight.

Here's a few pics of mine, other than the cover material on the driver seat, (plaid!!???) they appear to be original. Seats of both have springs, back of driver side has springs, passengers does not.
