    Hi there,
    I'm restoring an early CJ5 in Sydney Australia. (Australian assembled in Brisbane, Toledo build either 1959 or 1965 depending on how you interpret the serial number). I have found on the net a Ditzler paint chart for Willys 1959-1962 and some colours are labeled <poly>, eg, <Fountain Green Poly.> and <Mallard Blue Poly.> This is not a term that seems to be used in Australian paint language. Does it mean metallic, perhaps? Or is it a type of paint, like acrylic or enamel?

    Thanks for any advice. I tried a local auto paint place, but poly isn't in any of their catalogues.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Poly == Metallic.

    It's not a common term in the States either.
