    YIKES,,,,,
FYI, Hydrogen Cyanide is used in the militery as a chemicel weapon, it is classified as a "Blood Agent", it is also what is used in Gas Chambers to execute convicted criminals.

Phosgene is also a chemical weapon ingredient.

Guess it is always a good idea to research the shop chemicals you are using.
Thanks for pointing this out,,, I use brake cleaner all the time.

The article mentioned Hydrogen Chloride, not Cyanide.

I read this article a month or two ago and I make sure and read the
warning labels now. Brew Dude should change his name to Lucky Dude.

You bet you HCL is bad. The gas will kill and it converts to hydrochloric acid when it comes in contact w/ water, ie. your insides. Phosgene converts to phosphoric acid in your body. So long story short, he was burning up his liver, kidneys, urinary tract, and possibly his entire GI tract. Acronym for the day-MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets). All retailers of these agents are required by law to have the MSDS available for evey item they sale. If you don't know about the stuff, get one and read it. You will be glad you did. ALSO Be aware that most of these agents can cross the skin barrier. You don't always have to breathe or ingest them.:v6:

i'm really glad you mentioned this because i made this mistake last week. I was fortunate enough to know what mustard gas smells like ( another story) and react and evacuate immediatly with few ill effects but i believe that had i not been able to identify and react the exposure would have been severe
