Valve cover differences?

    OK, So I purchased a couple of valve covers with the express purpose of blasting and powder coating them then sending back out into the ECJ5 world. Anyhow, I got a pair that are different in that one has a bung welded to the top for some sort of breather and the other one doesn't.

    Making this interesting is that CeeJay's '55 has the breather thing, and my '57 doesn't. To the best of my knowledge, we both have the stock set ups that came with our respective Jeeps.

    Any clues as to what's up with this?
