I have a 71 frame that I'm getting ready to sandblast and I went to take off the drivers side motor mount bracket because I saw it was being held on with 4 bolts, but as I took the bolts out, I see that the bracket was welded in but the top weld failed and the bracket must have shifted and someone redrilled the holes in the bracket to bolt it on.
Is this bracket supposed to be just bolted on?
This is the drivers side motor mount bracket for the 225 with saginaw steering.

Drivers side tack welded then bolted although I have found they got a little carried away with the welding on some . Should mention I have seen some that were not welded either.
