Tux Tail Light Panel Holes & Reverse Light Question

I'm getting ready to do some welding and patching this week and I'd like to CNC plasma cut the taillight holes into my two replacement tail light panels from Classic before they go in.

The correct holes are the smaller one that is almost gone in these pictures of my panels, located along the lower edges where the PO added the larger holes.

Measuring the holes in my body I have the large hole at dia. 1-1/8", centered 2-7/8" up from the bottom, 3.25" in from the outside, and 3-3/4" in from the inside edge (under the tailgate surround). The light fixture attachment holes are 1/4" dia., spaced on center 1/4" edge-to-edge out from the outside of the light hole (7/16" from edge of large hole to center of small holes).

EDIT / NOTE: The holes are 2-7/8" up from the bottom, NOT 3" as in the drawing, I need to fix the drawing and replace it!


I would be grateful to anyone else working on their body without lights installed yet to check my measurements on something that isn't so swiss cheesed:

Am I correct in that my original 1966 Tux IV did not have a reverse light? I know my RH tail panel has one but I'm not sure it's OEM. I'd love to hear from the experts.

66 Tux did not have reverse light either side. Your attachments 68744-45 are showing error here?

In my pics of my 1966, you see reverse lights, but I added them. Now I wish I didn’t lol! Just another hole to weld up right

 

I just happen to be working on a '65 tux. Your measurements are darn close, just the diameter of the large hole is closer to 1-1/8".

 

I measured the diameter of the large holes at 1.125” and mis-drew them in SketchUp...good catch thanks!

 

One original mounting hole, and 1/3 (approx) of the center hole is still visible in your photos. On the left corner photo, you have a vertical marker line just to the left of the center hole.
Tuxes never had back-up lights on any years.
