Why not just a regular tent at that point?

Seems like kinda a hassle...load the trailer up..get to destination...unload trailer to put up tent....

Unless you're sleeping somewhere where being on the ground is dangerous...

You can get a real nice ground tent for that kinda $$....paid $125 for the three room nylon castle Jeep tent...

How's that thing holding up? Been eyeballing one myself, but was unsure of quality.

Zipper on the bag came apart - been stuffing it into a military duffle. Some of the stakes have broken - plastic "hooks" snap if you try to pull them by yanking on the rope.

Other than that, not bad - but it hasn't been used a ton either.

We really do like the form/function/layout/assembly.

I have one of those tents. I use it on my truck and not a trailer though. It works great. I have slept in it thought some pretty serious thunderstorms and it never leaked and did not colapse. The edges of the tent are designed to wrap over the edge of the bed and it has a full floor so even if water were to get into the bed it would not get into the tent. I use it when Im gonna be camping for more then one day. Otherwise its too much of a hassle and I just use a small pup tent.

Only problem with sleeping in a car or truck is it's colder than on the ground. The car/truck body acts like a heat sink.

If you want to be off the ground, and camp in colder climes, I'd suggest getting some aluminum cots for inside your tent.

I remember our Motor Seargent slept in the "doghouse" which was a Jeep trailer with a wooden house-like roof. Since we were always tearing down to bug-out, setting up tents was a waste of time.

I always slept under my trailer :D

good input. I was going to install a rooftop tent on mine (too much $$), but when I saw this one I thought I would check it out. I will probably stick with the regular tent I have for now.
