Well heres pretty much the finished project. Need to do a little more painting, and undercoat the underside. But otherwise its done for the time being. Also gotta check out a possible head gasket issue..but thats another story.

So how did the dana 20 work with the offset rear? IIRC you put a dana 18 in? Just curious as I am thinking of running a dana 300 with a offset rear.

Not good at all, the upper CV would bind up, I had to grind the yoke for it to clear. Ended up with the D18 in it and a much better driveshaft angle in both planes. The main thing was getting the D18 machined to change it from a small hole case to a large hole, so it would work the t18 tranny.

Well started fixing the engine today. This is my 3rd engine Ive had in Gold in 1.5 yrs. I guess this is expected when buying used engines but I thought this one was put together correctly. Well on the first run the intake gasket began leaking and head gasket wasnt installed correctly by the po. So today I pulled the heads, intake off and replaced the gaskets and rehoned the cylinders. Got her fired up before it was time to leave and everything seems good. Tommorow I'll fill it full of coolant and make sure thats all good. Anyways heres the only pic I took of the whole progress, after I got the pass side head reinstalled and before I sat the driver side back on.

When I originally had the rad. mounted in the front, I cut it so the motor on the elec. fan would fit. Now that there isnt a rad. there I need to patch those two pieces back in. I havnt wired the lights up yet, hopefully one evening this week I'll get some time, then we'll see just how bright they are going to be.
