Along with the new top, I want to get some bigger tires. I currently have 31x10.50's on 15x7's. I want a tire that's somewhat taller, but not a whole lot wider. I want something with a decent mud type tread that will clear itself. This thing also gets driven on pavement quite a bit, so I don't know if bias ply tires would be the best thing in the world...it rides rough enough now. Does anyone make a 33x10.50 or 34x10.50 or something close to that? I don't even know where to start looking...

EDIT: Just had an afterthought.... If anyone has anything like this on their rig, a pic or two would be helpful.
    Thanks in advance

I have the Super Swamper 34x10.50-15 LTB. It's the tallest skinny tire you can get I think. It's also not that expensive. I paid $125 a piece from 4 wheel parts. It's got a good aggressive tread. I don't have much road travel on them yet, but they seem ok so far. I should be able to let you know how well they perform pretty quick. (once I get the jeep running correctly)

There are lots of 33x10.50's to choose from, but when you get over 33 it's hard to find skinnier than 12.50.

At the moment these are the bst pics I have. If you want a better pic, let me know. ;)

I have the 34x10.50 and like them alot. you can also get 34x9.50 swampers which are actually a bit more aggressive than the 10.50s, but actually more expensive. the 9.50 are about $140 a tire. The 10.50 is $119 a tire

I'd go with the Swamper Radial, too. I have a set on my daily driver XJ. You'd be surprised at how well they handle the street. Check 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers. I recently got four 31x11.50 swamper LTB's shipped to my door for under $500.

I have a similar question regarding tall, skinny "pizza cutters" on my '47 CJ2A with 15x7 steelies. It currently has 31x10.50 mud terrains. They need to be replaced, and I've been considering 32x9.50s or even 33x10.50 mud terrains for off-roading. But would taller pizza cutters put too much stress on the stock Dana 25 front and rear Dana 41 axles? I wouldn't want to increase the tire size if doing so would cause more breakage.

Anyway, this is what I found regarding pizza cutter tire sized in a National Tire & Wheel add in one of my 4x4 mags:

Super Swamper TSLs - 32x9.50 for $124 (bias ply?)
Super Swamper TSLs - 34x9.50 for $146 (biasply?)
    Swamper TSL Radials - 33x10.50 for $139
Swamper Boggers - 33x10.50 for $165 (bias ply?)
    Swamper LTBs - 34x10.50 for $121
    Swamper Thornbirds - 33x10.50 for $133
    BFG AT/KOs - 33x9.50 for $136
    BFG MT/KMs - 33x10.50 for $152
    BFG AT/KOs - 33x10.50 for $140

The Super Swampers are very heavy. I would stick with the 32x9.5 range to reduce weight. Don't know how much the 33x9.5 BFG's weigh, but they are supposed to be discontinued from what I have heard. I like my 235/85/16 (32x9.25) TrXus MT's (Super Swamper/Interco). I just want to find a nice set of 16x6 original wheels to go with them.
