    image.jpeg image.jpeg So, sitting here in Tokyo relaxing and doing some research on trailer springs, I've seen ALOT of springs oriented like the first one below. My '46 T3C is the same way (no reason to doubt originality) but if CJ3A springs are used, what's the deal? The earlier trailer I just sold had the greaseable C style shackles and "normal" spring orientation. Obviously the tire to fender clearance is greater with the normal orientation. Strange as it may sound, I like the way the red '46 sits behind my CJ as is and wonder how much difference in capacity it would even make if I changed them out. The second pic illustrates it best. What say you...?
