I started to disassemble my M416 and start the restoration process. It looks like the shocks are the original ones and need to be replaced. Anyone have a suggestion for replacement shocks? I don't care if they're "original" type shocks or not. Anyone have a NAPA, Auto Zone, or Advance Auto parts number for something that will fit the M416? The cheaper the better.

Went to my local NAPA store today to get those shocks. He said he didn't have them in stock, nor could he get them from the warehouse. He also couldn't get them from the manufacturer. I'm not sure why. I guess I'll have to order them online.

I find that odd, because it should be a regularly stocked item.

Try another parts chain. What you need is front shocks for a CJ2,CJ3 or early CJ5.
