Picked up the new seats for my 66 build yesterday. The seats I had were to thick, the steering wheel was in my lap and I could hardly work the brake. The old (still brand new) seat Didn’t slide. I wanted to stay with the OE seat mounting brackets as it took months and $$$ to find the correct brackets. Here’s the old seat. The Roxor seats cost $68 each I think. Came with head rest and slider on both seats. Be sure to stop at Home Depot on the way home and buy 8mm nuts. I reused the mounting brackets I made for the other seats. I could have just welded a bar between the original seat frame tubes but I hate to modify them. Measure twice drill once. Here is where I made a hole 1/4” off then weld, grind and redrill. So this is much better. Leg room. 15”+ from the dash. Wheelhouse cut out is now really effective. I often say “ you get what you pay for”, and these are cheap so fingers crossed they don’t fall apart going down the road. Overall easy swap and bargain price for replacement seats.
