    This is a little weird..

I am re-assembling my '47 2A. Original frame, grille, fenders, hood, windshield, and tailgate. New repop tub…

The L134 engine is mounted with standard position and new mounts (they appear IDENTICAL to the original mounts). The grille is mounted to the frame and original fenders. The radiator is the original unit - redone. Mounted the radiator to the frame with the original spacers at the bottom.

Here's the weirdness… the fan is about 3/4" too low in relation to the radiator. If I mount the radiator with the fan shroud in place the shroud interferes with the fan - at the bottom. Without the shroud the fan stands off JUST enough to clear the bottom of the radiator opening at the rear. So it appears that something is screwed up. I have been studying this most of the morning and concluded:

    1. I can remove the spacers at the bottom of the radiator and get 3/8" to 1/2" lower.

    2. I MIGHT be able to shim the engine mounts a small amount and possible get another 1/8" or so

And it will still be too low. Any ideas as to what I can do, should do, didn't do?

    Your help gratefully received.
