So, I've read a bunch of posts on here about this flip, but still have a few questions, bare with me fella's.
Doing this in a Dana 27 with single hole knuckles.
    Saginaw power conversion in progress.

I bought a steering change over kit from Herm, and as I understand it, if I do the tie rod flip, i need to replace the 2 hole tie rod in the kit with a Ford cross over tie rod, correct?

The desciption of this ford crossover tie rod end says it is tapered from both sides, so I need an insert for the back side, correct?

I have a straight pittman arm that is not installed yet, so i could just flip it and avoid reaming, correct?

Hope all this makes sense to y'all,
    Thanks,
    Justin

You can't flip the pitman arm because the splined side has a taper to it as well.

No insert needed. The taper goes half way in from both ends. The TRE will seat against the half that it matches. It’s good enough as long as it’s kept tight.

Ok, so as I understand it,
yes to ford crossover tie rod.
no to ford crossover tie rod needing bushing.

Do y'all usually flip the draglink end at the pittman arm, or leave it as is? (inserted from bottom, nut on top?)

No need to flip the pitman arm tie rod.
