The oil bath filter off my 68 V6 has the tube on it for the emissions system and my engine doesn't.
should i leave it like it is or cut it off and plug it? I don't care for the look of it.
Also if i do plug it any suggestions how?

I'd hate to see a good filter get cut up. Are you going to use the filter as intended or switch to a paper filter?

The '66 oil bath does not have that tube. Might be able to find one. I did... :)

I put a plastic cap on mine. I couldn't bear to cut it off.

I'm sure someone on here needs that piece. I wouldn't modify it. Put a want to swap add in the for sale section on here.

I plugged it and hid it in back you cant see it. use a piece of heater hose and plug it with a big bolt and a couple clamps.

Will leave it for now, no hurry, so it might go up for trade, I'm just looking for little jobs to work on while I'm paying my NYS taxes
