Got a new horn button kit from KW. Installed it making it look like the one I took out.

When the horn has power, it honks all the time. What did I do wrong?

I have the wire running down the column, to the horn, then another wire from the horn to power.. shouldnt be this difficult.

Is it happening in the state your picture is in or when you install the rubber horn cover?
This wire grounds the horn to the chassis...Maybe there's a split somewhere?

For what it's worth, I'd start working my way around the wiring, cup, etc. to check for grounding, which of course what triggers the horn. I first try to full out from the button to the horn be disconnecting and testing section at a time.

You need to set the disc into the horn cover groove for it. Then it works fine.

Is it making noise as you show it right now? Or only when the rubber horn button goes on? I believe there is a metal 'cap' or plate on the inside of the rubber horn button that connects the center raised 'button' to the outer cup in your pic. I had a similar problem...had to bend the sides of the cup down a bit (or push up the middle) so that the connection is only closed when the rubber horn is pushed down.

Your supposed to have a contact disc that fits into the rubber top so the contact disc when pushed down makes contact with that cup you have installed.

    FinoCJ has it right.

The new kits do not come assembled. You have to put the disc into the groove in the cover. Until you look closely at it you wouldn't see it.

Shouldn't there be a relay in that circuit somewhere?
