    Pics pics pics.....

Was offered one with bad paint job, some tub rust, needed engine rebuild for $5K. Was told most likely only worth $2K. YMMV, and WE NEED PICS!!!

Hard to say what I would pay without seeing it. If it is a 41 then it is worth more than a regular mb

Congrats! I'd say you should also go to the G503 site and tell about your score, with photos of course. Those guys live and breathe WWII Jeeps, so they can answer all your questions.

well it has been converted over to 12v the lights that are there seem to work and the motor turns over I cant seem to find any plates with numbers or anything on it I did find a plate on the motor under the distributor with a number 3515298. stamped into it.
can anyone tell me what that number means?

    thanks in advance

you do have the correct winshield frame. If you have no data plates on the glove box door check you front frame horns. Should be a plate there that will give you the serial number.

aww dang well ill have to get a new one . im sure the vin has to be someplace its the army they number everything what are other common spots on the frame? and from my photos how does the jeep look the guy put some cheezy roll bar on there that will come off soon and the motor does not look too bad, i'll have to rebuild the motor and all the drive train im sure. I just had to have one, came with 5 origional tires and rims. it will most likely cost me alot of money to rebuild her but then again in 10k into my cj5 and its still a frame and line-x'd tub

thanks for all the help, keep the info coming!!

Sand the hood very carefully. The hood numbers will help narrow it down. Sometimes the frame is stamped. You should post over a g503.com they can answer most of your questions better than I can. I own an m38 which is close but then isnt close. If you have all 5 combat wheels (2 piece) and they are in good rust free shape that is very good. They are valuable.

most of the drivetrain appears intact.
better shot of the trans shift tower would reveal more.
too bad about the funky headlights in the grille
    everyone has their own ideas
from what I can see, it doesn't look that bad
    time and money
    that's all it takes..
