Really? The one's I've seen are too thin to be a "normal" sticker I thought. Shows what I know. Dunno where I got that from. :(

Hey I could easily be wrong, too. All I know is what I made up to sound smart. ;)

PS - regardless of what was original and what he goes with, you gotta find yourself a real nitpicker if they're gonna notice the difference! :D

The original was a plastic film with a super adhesive backing, its been in place for nearly 40 years and its still holding together and on. I don't think you could peel it off the dash.

If something like that can't be done, I'll try the water release decal but I'll wait til Jim comes back with the his edits and comments.

    Thanks all,
    Eddy

I'm just guessing that's what the decals GDB makes are. I know others here have bought them you should listen to them before me on what they are. ;)

    I did these in CorelDraw.

Here is the updated one. I added the line that I missed and increased the size to 5"x 3 3/4". Again it needs to be proofed.

Sumptin went funky on the last line of the main paragraph, Jim. Look at the letter spacing on "united states..."

Jim this looks great. I proofed it closely and only thing I see is we need spaces between the "United States and the District of Columbia" in the last line of the first paragraph.

How do you suggest I proceed from here, now that we know the dimensions are 3.75"X5" and not standard 3X5?

    Thanks,
    Eddy

I edited the last line. It's an auto formating thing. You'll have to refresh to see it.

I can resize it to 3x5 and put it on cafe press if you're not too concerned about being exact.

FWIW: GDB's stickers are not the water-transfer type. At least they weren't a year or so back, when I ordered them for Lulu. They were the regular sticker variety. Still very, very close to original though.

Thanks Tim, maybe it's Beeser's free stickers that were water transfer?

Man what a great experience this has been, I just went on Cafe Press and ordered my sticker that didn't exist just a few days ago.

Bubba, Thanks for sending me to EarlyCJ5. Brian Thanks for spotting the dimensions, Sparky, Tim, thanks for the lead on other decals. Most of all, Jim thanks for creating the product!
