Well this was a project put on hold for a year, but is now back up and going forward. 1967 Stephenson M-416. It was all stripped down last year and sand blasted to bare metal. I ordered a tailgate section this spring, but with all the other things happening around here lately, its been sitting in Red Oxide primer for a year. Primer is definately dry, so I scuffed it all a few weeks ago and apply apoxy primers over the red oxide and then same day, sprayed OD green to the individual parts and bottom and sides of the tub. Two weeks later, its assembly time. The plan for this is a RTT camper. Have not decided which RTT yet, but looking for a used one first before pulling the trigger on brand new. Overall thought is fabbed cover, slide out trays for the cook stove and a 12 volt fridge, solar powered battery, a few night lights. I am going to work up a top for it that will go straight up to add some height for the annex under the RTT. Some maybe 1/1/2 square tube frame and sheet metal top. As you see it today, I have flipped the axle , but not sure its staying that way as of right now. I'm going to put a set of 33X10;50 -15's on this week, to try it out, but think it will be a bit on the top heavy side with those and the axle flip. So may go back SUA configuration, but who knows. So that's it and enjoy the pictures, this all happened today. I had nothing else better today. Any suggestions, fire away.

Nice. I played around with lifts and tires for my trailer. First spring over with 35s then 33s still sat too high on my 2a with 35s and spring over. So i went to 31s and spring under with the tall C shackles from i believe a willys truck I think Dodge also used them. Theyre like an inch or two taller than the stock ones.

Yeh I think I'm going back to spring under with a little taller shackles. The Dodge ones are on eBay, but pricey. Heck I'm only doing it once, so what the heck.

Here is mine, with CJ2a front springs, spring under and stock shackle length. It is on 15" wheels, tires are 29", I wish I had gone with the 31", and will on the next go around.

txtoller, your trailer looks great. Nice color as well. I think 31's would be near perfect for it. I just found another trailer this weekend, kinda stumbled on it. My 70 likes it, but not sure my other trailer likes having it around. This new trailer is darn near perfect. Best I have found so far. Bed looks bad inside, but its mostly multible coats of paint thats peeling off.

Looks good! I had one very similar to that when I moved down to TX. Wish I hadn't sold it, but was arse deep in running a business and had sold my CJ2A when I moved down here.

RE RTT, I have a Yakama skyrise, but doesn't breath well, cost was the original reason, but if I were to pick up another, I'd probably go with a Tapui.

Classic Enterprise tailgate frame and powwie. Old tailgate came in handy.
