solid all around. There is one hole in the front where a spare tire carrier plate was mounted. Along the rails someone ran a bead, but that will grind off easily. The tailgate has mickey mouse latches. Other than that it is in pretty darn good shape for $250.

Yeap...that's the one Sparky. You might remember my post in this thread:
    http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16899&page=2&pp=10

Turns out he had just left for an Alaskan cruise for 2 weeks ;) So I was right!! He called me on Sunday and said he still had it. I asked him about it's condition and he said there was no rust through and it had worked well for him. He had a '44 JEEP (Ford) that he sold off and didn't need the trailer any more.

He tried to get me to buy his BOMB loader and a few other things while I was there. R) This was in the lawn also: [IMG]

My first plan for this trailer is to diassemble it....so i'd say you got the better deal ;) When it cools down a little here next month I am going to take it apart, do a tiny amount of metal work, have it blasted, paint/line/undercoat it, then put it back together. It is "weathered" enough it would rust pretty quickly here. It is only in the shape it's in because it was in the hot/dry sand hills near Sand Springs, OK all it's life.

Disassembly won't be hard, because the trailer sides/floor/frame are pretty much welded together as a unit. You'll be able to remove the front A frame, axle, and tailgate.

I took mine further apart, but only because I was replacing both the frame and the floor.

Just got the data plate in the mail today. Pretty rough but it looks like 14069.

Think I know the guy from when I lived in Tulsa. There's also a very rare International half-track in Sand Springs.

Did you get title and data plate with it?
