Can someone post a photo of their L head heater plumbing on the head and water pump? It's getting to be time to set one up.
    Thanks

Found the info I needed. The M38 didn't have a heater so I built one in the cowl battery box. Sometime I will upload photos.

Well the heater is built. I still need to paint the defrosters that fit in the glove box when not in use. I'm pulling fresh air in from under the hood so the defrosters should work well.

    Nice, very nice.

Did you have to cut the bottom of the ammo box to put it between the seats?

Cut the bottom off around 2" and notched the back to clear the bed. Fits more than a 50 cal box.

    Nice workmanship. Looks good.

Your system would probably work more efficiently if you pulled air from within the jeep. Pulling air from outside the cab is the major problem of the cj-5's placebo heater.

With the large heater core sold as the high output model the heater is so far is providing plenty of heat on test drives. That said I have not had it out in real cold weather. I'm thinking about ducting the intake to pull fresh or cab air depending on my needs. If you move just hot damp air around the cab you will have condensation on your windows so your defrosters wont work well. Ask other flat fender owners with Harrison heaters. We will see if I can get enough heat out of my L head. It's a little colder on your side of the mountains.

The m38 had two heaters to choose from. One was a gas fired unit that sat on the cowl, the other was a hot water unit that sat on the passenger side floor. I replicated the hot water heater in my m38 by using an m151 heater. The only issue is it take up a lot of floor space, but since I never ride on that side it is not a problem for me.

I've seen photos of both heaters. They are pretty hard to come by. Possibly share a pic of your heater.
I like you sit in the drivers seat and my dog may not like a heater in his space.
