OK, I've replaced this puppy no less than 3 times now, and it just won't quit leaking. Is there some other oil port on the back of the block that would mimic a rear main seal leak? I get a constant oil drip from the bottom of the bellhousing, and the rear main is the only thing I can think of, but I just WON'T stop!! BTW, I'm using the "new style" neoprene seals and dowels. Thanks for any thoughts???

    it's been a long time...
seems there are 2 pipe plug (flush fitting) at the rear of the block
plus the rear cam plug, freeze plug type
are you positive it's engine oil and not trans gear oil ?
did the flow decrease or slow down after previous attempts, or still the same ?
some folks coat the rubber dowels with sealant as well as the sides of the main cap
short of removing clutch and flywheel to inspect the rear of the block all I can think of

Definetly engine oil... Leak rate seems about the same, and it only takes a few minutes of run time for it to puke again. Gets worse as the engine temp and run time increases, which makes sense as the oil with thin a little I guess. Anyhow, I plan to pull the motor here shortly to do some frame boxing, so I'll check out that freeze plug situation. Thanks!!
