I did a quick image search, it looks like they mount inside the frame? Clearances might be really tight.

I’d look at the steering gear ratio also. I personally wouldn’t want a quick ratio box in a swb Jeep. That overcorrection won’t always be forgiving.

I was thinking it would be less area inside the frame and more on top than with herms as his has the whole box on the inside. I will see if I can look up the ratio what’s good and what’s too fast

I'm not sure on the spec, but I do know the 2 door and 4 door JK boxes have different ratios.

That would make a lot of sense since the shorter wheelbase would want a slower ratio

I think you would have the option of mounting the box either on the inside or outside of the frame rail. The standard US box would go inside, but Jeep has sold lots of right hand drive JKs, both domestically and overseas. A RHD JK box could be used on the outside of the frame rail on a LHD CJ. Also, for those running big tires, the weakness in the JK steering box is the sector shaft. I've personally seen 2 shear off when used off road with big tires (37 inches plus). Several vendors sell hydraulic assist kits for the JKs, along with upgraded steering boxes and pumps. The main vendors are AGR, PSC, and West Texas Off Road. The WTO Redneck Ram system is especially interesting, as any Saginaw power steering box can be converted to hydraulic assist with the appropriate drill bit and tap.

That leaves me with 2 questions

One would my 33s be able to hurt that jk box

Two wonder if those company’s could do the upgrades/ offer boxes for rhd jk

33s would be fine on a stock JK box. Lot's of people run 35s with no problem and the JKs are significantly heavier then a CJ. Mine is about 5k lbs and it's not on the heavier side. It really doesn't start to become an issue until you run 37s or bigger.

PSC does make a RHD version of their standard box. They also make an enhanced gear box with a larger cylinder and a larger sector shaft. I'm not sure if that box is available in RHD or not.
