I picked this up a year ago sitting on the side of the road in Delaware. I had visions of fixing it up and using it behind an M38A1 I had at the time. It is missing a few pieces and the sheet metal needs some love. The ID plate reads January 1951.

Anyone have before and after pictures for inspiration? Or is it better for parts and should I keep on looking? I would love to use it behind the CJ5 but looking for some input.

Don't have any pics to inspire you but I'd keep it for sure. I'd love to have one of those. Don't get rid of it or part it out.

    I've seen worse
    and I say YES !
in current condition, not worth much $$
if you spend some $$ and get use out of it, then you will be able to sell it for $$ if you want to
you may not get all of your $$ back that you invested, but who does ?

I started with a $75 trailer...and replaced the frame, floor, fenders, wheels, tailgate, tail lights, etc. Pretty much it was a $75 pattern...;)

Your M100 trailer is definitely worth saving. The side and end panels look largely intact, and can probably be restored with elbow grease and basic bodyworking skills. The floor can be replaced (if necessary) with a panel by Jeep Panels Plus (either the entire floor or floor panels from them sized to suit). You can also find the correct landing leg/hitch casting and landing leg if you are patient (check frequently on eBay or the 1/4 ton trailer forum on www.g503).

If you don't have the time/$$/inclination, either sell it to someone here or a military vehicle preservationist (as on www.G503). These trailers are becoming increasingly rare and deserve to be preserved/restored.

Thanks for the pictures and input. I agree on not getting your time/money back out of Jeeps and the accessories in general. I am not concerned with that. I have been looking for a trailer for a long time. I found another one just like it for sale near by but have not checked in to it yet.

I've had it listed, and supposedly sold, on a number of occasions on sites (including g503) but no one ever shows up with money or a way to take it out of here.

I will keep it and get it fixed up after I get the CJ put back together.

It looks savable to me. Now grant it, I don't have an eye for those things like the hubby does, but he's brought home some stuff way worse than that and save it! Maybe thats where is screen name comes into play...........R)

I will check out the other one for you if you like. It is mid shore Delaware. I can store it for you and bring it up when you're ready for it.

I also need to talk to you soon about this years Jeeps on the Shore show in September. I have a free vendor spot for you if you want to come down for the weekend.

I'd like a trailer, but it's not in the cards for me right now...

The show in Sept sounds interesting, I might be able to do that. Where is it located?
You coming to York for the PA Jeeps show July 21/22?

Yep - our club will be setting up a booth at PA Jeeps this year. Our show, complete with obstacle course, etc will be at the Pocomoke Fairgrounds in Pocomoke City, MD. Close to Ocean City, MD, our privately leased wheeling land and will coincide with Sunfest weekend. I'm getting help from, NOVA, Creepers, Raiders, etc. Hub and Holly are helping me but are out of town the weekend of the show. I'm still recruiting spotters, etc. I will start posting updates on all of the local boards as well as a link to the web site.
