    Hey guys,
After about a ten month hiatus, I'm back to working on the jeep. I plan on posting build pictures soon- but I had a quick question. Does anyone have any pictures of how the aftermarket fuel tank strap mounts? I've been trying to figure it out, but its beyond me. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Josh

A pic of what you have might be helpful.

Aftermarket under the bed? Passenger seat? Driver seat? Lots of possibilities on these things

It's not an aftermarket tank in most cases. Instead, it's a later tank adapted to the earlier Jeep.

Take a look at Mike Boyink's writeup on his web page: http://boyink.com/cj6/gas-tank-installing-rear/

You can also remove the toolbox under the passenger seat and add a tank on that side. MTS makes tanks with the filler reversed for this purpose, or you can modify a factory-style steel tank.

Thanks for the input guys, but my strap kit for the tank is a little different. I still can't take pics yet, but when I do I'll reopen the thread. tanks again!
