    Is anyone familiar with a brake booster, I think called a hydravac? It's mounted on the driver's side firewall.
    Wondering if it's rebuildable.

    It's on a '59 CJ3B.

    I used to own a Chev tanker truck we used for delivering Solvents and Lubes. It had the Hydrovac brakes. About once a year a driver would step on the brakes and they would go to the floor. Very scay on a freeway offramp with a couple of thousand gallons of kerosene on board. I finally junked the truck before someone got killed.

    Hydrovac=boosted by engine vacuum.

    Hydroboost=boosted via the power steering pump.
