Does anyone know of a good website that shows how to set and adjust the Points in the distributor? I need to re-learn all of this stuff.

Piece of cake. I just whip out my handy-dandy digital dwell meter. Usually your point gap is half the dwell value. If you are setting the odd fire V6, then things have to be a little closer than for other engines. Set the points on a high lobe, and adjust the gap exactly to specs. Use your feeler gauge set. Matchboox covers are for field repairs, not for actually getting it right. If you have a dwell meter you can then start it and maybe adjust it again to get it perfectly. Then you set the timing by rotating the distributer. Adjust your idle screws and go have fun!
