These were quite popular back in the day.
I think Milne Brothers in Pasadena may have been first out here for the V6, but maybe Chuchua as well.

Mmm. I don't remember any headers at Chuchua's - but I was not there until ca 1974, so maybe earlier.

Interesting to calculate an inflation-adjusted price. $115 -> $682... a 483% increase. Lots of inflation in the 70s.

No it was always Doug Thorley............his Decals were either "Headers by Doug" or "Dougs Headers"

Jim, Sounds like quite a collection of Catalogs and price sheets.......I would guess that's late sixtys through the mid seventys? I had headers built by Al Jardine , Doug Thorley and Jim Davis.....during the many trips to Pomona , Long Beach, Orange County and Irwindale.........all of those guys were pretty famous back in the day......I just kept all the old extra Decals that never found there way on the Racecar...........thanks for the trip back in time!:)

I'm sure you mean Jerry Jardine from Pasadena. Al Jardine was with the Beach Boys. ;)

Is it at all possible to obtain 2 of these Jardine Header decals??? The ones in the middle of the pic? They would complete a very important project.

Thanks! I'll try a PM as well.

    Best Regards,

    Robert Morris

I've got a set of the Headders by Doug on my 401. Maybe one day I'll actually get to hear them.
