I have a set of headers and short cherry bombs on my cj, my problem is that the setup is so short standard exhaust straps break due to the engine movement then the rough roads out here crack the headers due to the added weight. Anybody have ideas to prevent this?

Yup ^ me too . I ran 1" strap and welded that to the pipe then and drilled a large hole for the isolators, and I welded bolts to the frame. very strong/.solid set up and has not broken yet .But I would have to say your motor mounts need to be in good shape.

thats why went back to manifolds, got tired of re welding headers. But the guys on here have a lot of great ideas on their build threads I believe, I may go back to headers one of these days.

those are good ideas, the main road going to th mountains is about 50 miles of the most washboarded road you have ever seen, new trucks are typically down to 5mph in some spots its so bad.In my Jeep i take the barrow pit cause its smoother.
